Water Industry FORUM 26 creates a unique arena where the entire industry can meet to discuss, develop and strengthen Sweden's water supply in a time of increased security challenges. Through inspiration, knowledge sharing and concrete collaboration, we build common resilience - from source to consumer.

VWhy a national exercise?

The security situation is changing rapidly and is placing completely new demands on the entire water sector. To ensure access to clean water, while avoiding unnecessary investment costs, the industry needs to come together around common working methods, priorities and measures.

Therefore, the Water Industry is initiating an industry-wide exercise with the goal of:

Increase understanding of the risks and threats that affect water supply today.
Present relevant scenarios and developments across the entire threat spectrum – from peacetime disruptions to serious crises.
Clarify roles and responsibilities between different actors, public and private, when something happens.
Show concrete measures and solutions which directly strengthens the security of your own operations.

– by showing how actors can work together in real-world scenarios and joint processes.
Show that the industry has the capacity and resources
– not only to handle today's challenges, but also tomorrow's increased demands.

A look back at
Water Industry FORUM24.

Water Industry FORUM24 was held on November 19, 2024 at Posthuset in Stockholm. Threats & Security: a safer water and sewage supply, the digitalization of water infrastructure and the supply of skills were the three central themes explored at Water Industry FORUM24 based on shorter presentations and perspectives within each area, followed by a concluding panel discussion.
