New support document for procurement

To facilitate procurement within the water sector, the Water Industry's focus group for procurement issues has developed various guidelines and support documents and is now introducing a new one.

The investment process for both new investments and renovations or purchases of goods and services within the water and sanitation sector is complex. The standard contracts that are often used only require construction according to the documents and do not address issues of function and performance testing.

Together with a lawyer and with views from product suppliers, consultants and suppliers, a new guide is available as an addition to ABT 06. This addition serves as a selectable list for clients to pick parts from that are suitable for the current procurement.
