New chairman and members of the Swedish Water Industry

At the Water Industry Association's spring meeting on May 21 in Gothenburg, John Skantze, HUBER, was elected as the new chairman. Jesper Hess, Kamstrup, and Anna Dahlman-Petri, WSP, were also elected as new members. Water Industry Association is the trade association for consultants, contractors and product suppliers within water purification and water treatment.

The Water Industry has the expertise, systems and products to do the necessary work to create the water infrastructure of the future. The industry organization works to create resilient and long-term solutions where members contribute innovation and expertise in a good business climate.

– We are pleased to welcome this trio to the Swedish Water Industry Board. Their combined solid experience will be invaluable in our continued efforts to create sustainable and innovative solutions within water. Together with our members, we look forward to meeting new challenges and opportunities with the water infrastructure of the future, says Joachim Jämttjärn, Secretary General of the Swedish Water Industry

In addition to being the newly appointed chairman of the Swedish Water Industry, John Skantze is also the CEO of HUBER, which supplies technology and equipment for municipal and industrial water treatment and wastewater treatment.

– I thank you for the trust and look forward to continuing the work of clarifying the Water Industry's contribution to water. With our expertise, the capacity and competence within the water and sanitation organizations can be increased. We will also accelerate the digitalization of the water infrastructure and create an attractive industry for the next generation, says John Skantze.

The new vice president of the Water Industry will be Anna Engdahl, Veidekke, together with Erik Malmberg, Malmberg Water, who will retain the position from before.

During the eight-year presidency of outgoing chairwoman Anette Seger, Ramboll, the association has been challenged to think new, visionary and even more long-term. Together with outgoing member Stefan Indahl, Aarsleff Pipe Technologies, she leaves an association that has made an exciting journey from the Varim of the past to today's modern Vattenindustrin, a clear and important player in water issues. The outgoing members were warmly thanked for their contribution to the Vattenindustrin.

The water industry – combined expertise for the water of the future.
