Johanna Langborger is Technical Application Specialist

”Being able to combine my interest in chemistry and technology with environmental benefits is very valuable to me.”

What kind of education do you have?

– Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, Lund University of Technology.

Why have you chosen to work in VA?

– Being able to combine my interest in chemistry and technology with environmental benefits is very valuable to me. After graduating, I didn't apply specifically for the water industry, but for a job that didn't just involve office work and that had a good sustainability profile. The water industry feels like a perfect match.

Tell us about the job you have today!

– The most enjoyable days at my job are the days I am out meeting customers. My job as Technical Application Specialist means that I help customers find the right product to purify their water. I do this by carrying out laboratory work with different products and dosages. I get to see many different types of water treatment processes and industries. Industries often have purification requirements for the water before it is sent to the municipality or to the recipient, which means that many have a purification plant on their production site. This makes the job varied and developing!
