Today, the Swedish Water Industry is arranging a forum for important water issues.

The water industry invites you today, Tuesday, November 29, for the first time to a new forum where dialogue, future issues and the meeting are in focus. The water industry FORUM22 focuses on input into three important issues for the water and sanitation industry: how projects that will function for a long time can best be realized in connection with the large investment need, how we as an industry can become climate neutral and skills supply.

In a complex world, it is important to make the right decisions today, which has become especially clear after years of pandemics, disruptions in the global flow of goods and wars close to home in Europe. At the same time, we must not lose focus on longer-term goals such as building a resilient Water Sweden, achieving climate goals and ensuring good skills supply.

– Today, the Water Industry FORUM22 begins, where we want to have a conversation about the new conditions facing the water and sanitation industry. The need for investments is great and at the same time the challenges are many, including climate change, ongoing densification of our cities and a shortage of skills. In addition, geopolitical concerns place high demands on closer dialogue and knowledge sharing. It is important that the entire industry works together to solve the issues., says Anette Seger, Chairman of the Water Industry.

– We are facing major investment needs and challenges in the industry. This means new issues where we as an association and our member companies have a lot to contribute, but also a lot to learn and we believe that collaboration on the big issues is the best way forward., says Joachim Jämttjärn, Secretary General of the Water Industry.
