Emil Svensson drives business development and partnerships in an industry undergoing rapid digital transformation.

”The water sector is facing extensive technical and organizational development – and being able to be part of driving that journey is both meaningful and inspiring.”

What kind of education do you have?

– I have a basic upper secondary education, further education in Business Management at IHM Business School and a leadership training. Over the years, I have also started and run my own companies, which has given me solid experience in business development, sales and leadership.

Why have you chosen to work in water?

– I was recruited to Aqua Robur Technologies without previous experience in the water and sanitation industry, but with a background in project management in the construction sector and technical sales. It quickly turned out to be a very successful step. The water sector is facing extensive technical and organizational development – and being able to be part of driving that journey is both meaningful and inspiring.

Tell us about the job you have today!

– As a partner manager, I work with business development within sales and marketing, with a focus on building and developing strategic partnerships both in Sweden and internationally. The role involves close dialogue with customers and partners to create long-term value and contribute to a more sustainable water and sanitation infrastructure.

What does a typical day look like?

– There is rarely a ”typical” day at Aqua Robur. One day I meet with Swedish water and sanitation companies to discuss digitalization solutions, the next day I collaborate with international partners on new markets and technical concepts. The work involves a lot of travel, but also great variety and constant development. The most rewarding thing about the role is being part of a committed and competent team that is at the forefront of technology for monitoring and analysis within the entire water and sanitation segment.
