Turnkey contract according to ABT06

The purpose of standardized terms and conditions is to reduce uncertainty, the risk of misinterpretation, the workload for the parties and thus the costs.

Turnkey contracts refer to contracts where the contractor, in addition to the actual execution, must also produce all or a significant part of the design. The delivery agreement that can be applied in this case is ABT 06 and refers to general provisions for turnkey contracts regarding building, construction and installation work.

ABT 06 is basically for projects with buildings and not process technology facilities and therefore needs to be supplemented to take this into account, see tips in the document.
