Products according to NL 17
The purpose of standardized terms and conditions is to reduce uncertainty, the risk of misinterpretation, the workload for the parties and thus the costs.
A product can be defined as a piece of equipment with a predetermined function. For these cases, there are a few different delivery agreements that apply.
When it is mainly a matter of a product being procured, NL 17/ALOS 05 can be used. NL 17/ALOS 05 is a delivery agreement that contains a number of standardized terms and conditions agreed upon by the customer and supplier for transactions concerning mainly products.
For more extensive assembly work, the procurement is sometimes carried out according to NLM 19. Please note that NLM 19 deviates from NL 17 and, among other things, requires participation in construction meetings, which risks making the procurement more expensive than necessary.
