Preparedness, climate adaptation and digitalization are current topics at Meeting Point Water2025
On October 21-23, the Swedish Water Industry, together with the Swedish Exhibition Centre, is organizing Meeting Place Water2025 – Sweden's largest meeting place within water. For three days, more experts and exhibitors than ever before will gather at the Swedish Exhibition Centre in Gothenburg to secure the water of the future.
Meeting place Vatten2025 is an inspiring meeting place that offers an exhibition, conference, open stage program and activity areas. Among the exhibitors and on the stages, proven methods, new innovation and collective expertise come together, ready to shape Sweden's future water infrastructure.
Neglected maintenance and great need for new investments
The need for investment in water and sanitation is great due to neglected maintenance. At the same time, maintenance alone is not enough. For a resilient water infrastructure, we also need innovative power and investments in new technology, digitalization, climate adaptation and increased safety. According to the Water Industry, increased collaboration is the right way to create resilient and climate-adapted societies.
– Water and investment funds are fragile resources that we must take good care of. Through close and trusting cooperation between the various actors within the Water Industry, the water supply organizations and the industry, we can ensure that we have clean water without consuming unnecessary resources, says John Skantze, Chairman of the Water Industry.
Focus on sharing experience and providing skills
The Water Industry members participate on all stages and offer a very solid stage program on the Water Stage where they generously share their expert knowledge in areas such as preparedness, climate adaptation and digitalization. The Water Stage is located in a central location next to the Water Industry living room, the trade organization's stand which is an extension of the members' own stands and where conversations can continue.
Another current challenge that will be in focus during these days is to increase the attractiveness of the industry to attract new workers and new types of skills that will do the necessary jobs we have ahead of us. Part of that work is the industry introductions for students that will be held on Thursday, October 23.
A warm welcome to the Swedish Fair on October 21-23, where we will continue the conversations about how we secure the water infrastructure of the future.
