Future water and sanitation expertise on stage during Nordiwa

Today, September 18, the report Digitalization in the Water and Sewerage Sector was presented at Nordiwa in Stockholm. The report was produced by students in the Water Industry Internship Program 2026.

The presentation was opened by Matilda Jirblom, styrelseledamot i Vattenindustrin och ordförande i NextGen, som berättade om Vattenindustrins arbete med Next Gen och delade också de senaste resultaten från Vattenindustrins kompetensenkät.

Digitalization is changing how we plan, operate and maintain Sweden's water and sanitation infrastructure. The fact that it is the next generation that is raising the issue makes it extra urgent. They are the ones who will drive development forward.
