VA combines an interest in chemistry and process technology with an interest in the sea, every project I work on I feel is ultimately for the good of the sea, which is a constant driving force. It is rewarding to work in an industry that is constantly developing for the benefit of the environment and our waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tell us about the job you have today!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 I work as a process engineer in our sales department. It is a broad role that includes everything from process design and testing in our lab to developing calculations and business proposals that will solve the customer&#039;s problems in a beneficial way. Throughout the course of the projects, I have close contact with both colleagues and customers in different countries, both on the municipal and industrial side. The combination of chemical and process technology and the commercial part with what is practically feasible in each individual case means that no project is the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What does a typical day look like?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 A typical day might look like me receiving a water sample from a customer to be evaluated in our lab. I conduct analyses linked to the equipment we offer and calculate chemical dosages, capacities and reduction rates. Based on the results, I develop a process proposal for the customer and put together a business proposal together with our sales people that is presented to and discussed with the customer.
