In connection with the formal autumn meeting at the end of November, Dennis Adolfsson was elected,&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Group Manager VA-Process&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>at Sweco, as a new regular board member. We took the opportunity to ask him a few questions!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What motivated you to accept your involvement in the Water Industry Board?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 I feel that the Water Industry is in a very exciting phase where cooperation between business and the public sector is portrayed as more important than ever to meet the water industry&#039;s challenges that we face. So getting a chance to have a deeper influence on the work that is carried out in the organization felt like a natural fit for me. Since I come with a background as a product supplier, but now work in the consulting field, I would like to believe that I can offer a nuanced view to the board from several parts of the Water Industry&#039;s members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are the biggest challenges we face as an industry and how do we solve them?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Lack of skills and economy that go hand in hand. We know that with new directives and laws there will be significantly higher demands on the water industry in general. We and our systems must become more efficient, increase the level of knowledge and increase in number in an existence where many other industries are facing similar challenges. In order for us to move forward and succeed, collaboration is required, where collaboration between the Water Industry and Svenskt Vatten will be central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do you see the future of sustainable water management and what initiatives do you think the Water Industry Board should prioritize to promote them?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Sustainability is central to what we do and I believe it is one of the reasons why many who have once slipped into the water industry tend to stay here.
