This process includes many components, from needs analysis and procurement to contract writing, commissioning and follow-up. It is of utmost importance to overcome the obstacles that can hinder the implementation of projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Water Industry's focus group for procurement issues works with the long-term goal of the Water Industry to improve business processes. By ensuring knowledge of and use of the right procurement method and agreement, unnecessary costs for the parties can be reduced. Furthermore, the right procurement method and choice of agreement means that risks are borne by the party best able to eliminate the risk, thereby reducing unnecessary risk premiums and delayed procurement processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another important issue is to increase the project implementation rate and collect facts, analyze and draw conclusions about the implementation rate of budgeted projects. The background is that only 68% of budgeted funds are invested (see Svenskt Vatten's report Planning and implementation of water and sanitation investments \u2013 an industry-wide analysis<\/em><\/a> ).
